Today, after driving on NE-4 from Kim to Vadodara, I came back with a newfound respect for Surat's roads.
Continuous vibration, bouncing over joints, and passenger discomfort on NE-4.
Today's journey made me appreciate Surat's roads even more.

All those who are practicing tax in India must have a Twitter/X account.
Today, many important tax updates, notifications, portal issues, judicial developments, and professional discussions appear first on Twitter/X before anywhere else.
For tax professionals, it is no longer optional - it is becoming part of the profession itself.
Dear @IncomeTaxIndia
Ye TDS wale sections ki numbering 393A, 393B 393C etc bhi toh ho sakti thi na?
Ye 'Section 393(1) Table Serial No: 2 (iv) D(a)' type bawasir banane ki kya jarurat thi??
When all tax professionals were fighting for the cause of profession: raising issues with respect to income tax and GST portal. Chiraag like persons used to mock those professionals giving boosting posts like" work could have been planned" " we completed intime" etc., Just because they thought that professional who were raising issues are of anti BJP anti Modi.
Karma hits back, now Chiraag constantly positing portal and other issues. Being in Mumbai he is facing these, imagine the fate of tire II and III professionals.
I am not putting on vengeance, support your cause, Chiraag which benefits for tax professionals at large.

Income Tax Act, 1961 retires after 65 years.
From tomorrow, the Income Tax Act, 2025 governs every direct tax transaction in India.
819 sections become 536. 47 chapters become 23.
“Assessment Year” gives way to “Tax Year.” New forms. New perquisite valuation. New SEP thresholds. New safe harbour margins.
The language is simpler. The compliance standard is not lower.
Every practitioner’s system resets at midnight. ⚖️

No small CA firm survives on audit fees alone.
Tax. GST. ROC. FEMA. Advisory. These are the services that make a practice viable. Audit is the anchor relationship that makes the rest possible.
Clause 46 severs that anchor for 8 years per client.
It does not reform the profession. It prices small practitioners out of the market. ⚖️

In 10 years, the CA profession has been systematically dismantled — piece by piece, quietly, without a fight.
GST Audit. Gone.
Small company audit. Gone.
Tax audit threshold — under threat.
“Accountant” definition — under threat.
And our elected professional leaders?
Silence.
This thread is about the pain we suffer. 👇🏼

Yesterday I boarded Uber!
While I was getting continuous work calls, the Driver looked at me in aww and Said, madam aap CA ho?
I said yes!
He told me “Mai 12th pass hu. Mere father nahi hain. CA krne ka soch raha hu. Abhi filhal fees ke paise ikkathe kr raha hu aur family ko bhi support karna hai”
I was so happy to see his determination and hard-work!
Also I was remembering the comfort I got when I told my father that I wanted to do CA. Like he helped me in doing complete research ki kaise padna hai..kn se subject ka class le ya nahi..etc etc..!
We always complain about negativities of life…!
Pr bahar nikal ke dekho logo ke struggles ke aage humare toh kuch bhi nahi!
