The JV Squad opens up the 2026 season at home vs. cross town rival Hudsonville Eagles.

In game 2, the squad bounced back and came away with big W! Blake Lafler went all 7 innings and got the win while striking out 9 batters. Offensively, Kennedy, Creighton, and Mokma all had 2 hits each. Grimmett and Sterken each added 1 hit.

Final conference series of the season started tonight vs. Byron Center.

Game 1: 2-0 (Loss)

In game 1, Porter Miller went the distance striking out 9 batters but unfortunately got the loss. The offense struggled to get anything going and only recorded 1 hit by VanKoevering.

On Saturday the squad hosted the JV Invite.

In game 1 the Cats beat Zeeland East 9-4. Porter Miller was on the mound and struck out 3 batters in 3.2 innings of work.

Leading the offense was Emerson Grimmett, Mason Kennedy and Connor Creighton and Blake Lafler with 2 hits each

In the championship game we squared off against a solid Portage Central team.

We came away with the win by a final score of 9-2. Blake Lafler went 3.2 innings striking out 2 batters and getting the win!

The offense was led by VanLaan, Lafler and VanKoevering with 1 hit each.

Leading the way offensively was Elliott Wass and Rowan VanLaan with 3 hits each. Grimmett and Kennedy each with 2. Sterken, Lafler, Creighton, Mokma and Miller all with 1 each.

On Friday the squad competed in a Non conference double header vs Northview.

Game 1: 5-3 (Win)

Game 2: 17-8 (Win)

In game 2, Grimmett got into some trouble early and the defense had some miscues. Down 5-0 after 1 and 7-2 after 2.5 the squad went on to erupt for 15 more runs. Getting 6 in the 3rd, 4 in the 5th and 5 in the 6th. Creighton came in and helped keep the Northview offense in check

The squad completed the 3 game sweep of conference opponent Reeths Puffer yesterday of 9-1.

Talin Napper was on the mound and went a full 7 innings striking out 8 batters.

Leading the way offensively Connor Creighton with 3 hits. VanLaan, Kennedy, Lafler & Sterken with 1 each

Blake Lafler was dominate on the mound going 6 innings while striking out 10 batters. Leading the way offensively was Creighton with 3 hits. Kennedy and VanLaan with 2 hits each. Grimmett added 1 hit.
