Rumours are swirling around the industry that Australia’s number one agent is in big trouble. Staff walkout. Client complaints. Authorities investigating. So many agents claim that title, it could be any of many. Top agent often means bottom ethics. 😡

As a rule, whatever is the published “success rate” can be apx halved.

Example:

SYDNEY 1,167 auctions. 440 sold.
Claimed rate: 64%. Truth rate: 37%.

MELBOURNE 129 auctions. 42 sold.
Claimed rate 65%. Truth rate 33%.

It does NOT refer to which agents treated clients well.

Melbourne: Claim 66%, Truth 49%.

The most common way homes are short-sold is by public auction. To allow all buyers to see offers made by other buyers is the height of stupidity.

If you want to sell your home for the HIGHEST PRICE, the first rule is AVOID AUCTION.
