Was just thinking about LA and how we most often refer to it by its abbreviation and rarely by “Los Angeles.” Are there any other cities that we abbreviate in a similar fashion?

NYC comes to mind, but I feel like that’s only in writing. When speaking, I’d say “I’m going to New York” or “We’re going to the City.”
