Growing up, I learned to be generous toward my neighbors, compromise without compromising my values, and to work for the common good.
@KamalaHarris and I both believe in that common good – in that fundamental promise of America. We’re ready to fight for it. And like she says: when we fight, we win.
Looking forward to a future edition of the @chadronstate magazine where I can flip to the class notes in the back and see @GovTimWalz casually listed as being elected Vice President of the United States alongside all the other career advancments. Get it, fellow Eagle!
"childless woman" is such an 19th-century-ass insult. what else you got. do I render inferior tallow? do my cabbages grow pale and blemished? does the quality of my sock-darning bring shame upon my father's name?
I’m seeing a lot of Christians claiming that Kamala Harris shouldn’t be president because she’s a woman and God forbids women having authority over men.
This is a bald-faced lie.
If we use the widely accepted definition of a feminist, “one who believes in, and is committed to, the idea of true equality between the sexes, and that means the development of women to their fullest potential and full partnership, and participation by women in all decisions of society,” then Jesus was one of the very first feminists to ever walk this earth. He was a radical when it came to the elevation of women.
In a culture that marginalized women, Jesus elevated them. In a society where women had almost no legal rights outside of their husbands or fathers, Jesus chose them to lead.
One lesson that we Christians have not learned in the last +2,000 years is that Jesus had no political control over the Roman Empire and he still changed the world.
We keep trying to change the world the way the Roman Empire did instead of the way Jesus did.

“What do you mean, there’s no liturgical prayer specifically for a nation the night after it has a really bad presidential debate?”
Waitress taking my empty taco plate away: "You did good."
Me: prouder than I have ever been.
(How is this the validation I have been looking for? Haha)
