(📢) Please pass this on. Before Election Day, every American who can should watch:
1⃣ Four Hours at the Capitol (HBO, 2021)
2⃣ January 6th (HBO, 2023)
3⃣ Stopping the Steal (HBO, 2024)
No good person who watches these will have any doubt about how to vote. The trailers follow:
(📣) NATIONAL POLL: Who would you like to see Kamala Harris pick as her running mate?
Please RETWEET this poll so we can get a very large polling sample.
{Note: Beshear, Shapiro and Whitmer fared modestly enough in three prior polls that these are the right names to poll-test.}
(🧵) This thread offers extensive analysis of the historic decision by President Joe Biden—ranked the 14th-best U.S. president ever by nonpartisan historians—not to seek a second term. I approach this analysis as an attorney, political journalist, and Trump biographer. Please RT.
With the SCOTUS ruling, and the horrible performance of Biden at the debate, things may seem bleak - some of you might be experiencing anxiety about what the future holds - take a deep breath. Relax. If you need to, take a break from social media for a bit, don't let this shit get to you.
The way forward is through taking the moral high ground. The only party taking people's rights away is the GOP. This needs to be amplified in so many ways, and they need to be outed for who they are: unsympathetic, and morally bankrupt.
The issue with the democratic party is their lack of bite. They're too passive. It's time to rally, to push back - to instill calm in the masses, but how do you do that with so many losses going up against a brazen fascist asshole? You target them, you expose them, and you make damn sure you restore faith in your supporters.
We've been in the activism game for a very long time now, we've pushed for social change, and we've always wanted a future humanity can look forward too. Trump does not offer that future; he offers one of a fascist dystopian hellscape that removes rights from all citizens that do not conform to a Christian nationalistic code.
No ethics or solutions are being pushed by the GOP/MAGA, only losses of freedoms and individuality.
So, if we do not stand together to combat the evils that MAGA & the GOP want, there will be no more USA as we know it. The USA won't be the land of the free, and it sure as hell won't be a country that reflects the cultures of everyone who lives inside of it's borders.
So do what you need to do. Take a break, take some deep breaths - but when you come back, prepare to fight like hell. Get out in the streets, organize, protest, and make damn sure every MAGA GOP politician is publicly called out and humiliated.
You all know what is on the line.

How is my wife?
Lots of folks asking (thank you). So, an update for you:
It's been a little over 2 weeks since it happened, & we were told it would be a minimum of 6 weeks before her body recovered from all the blood she lost.
Because of the amount of blood loss, she still gets light headed & has dizzy spells. But those are getting less frequent.
We are monitoring her HCG levels at home. As of now, she is still getting a positive pregnancy test.
This is where it gets scary.
If those levels don't go down soon there is serious risk of infection, which can lead to a world of other very scary problems. Including sepsis.
So, she's not out of the woods yet, physically... and her incomplete miscarriage, is STILL potentially incomplete.
The likelihood of her still needing a D&C is looking increasingly likely.
Which, if they would have just DONE THE PROCEDURE IN THE FIRST PLACE, WE WOULDN'T BE HERE!
The barbaric way she was treated will forever infuriate me.
We have no faith in the doctors, or the medical system here in Texas.
If you, or your daughter, or your wife was put through what my wife was, would YOU trust them?
So seeking care here is not something we are interested in.
However, there are physicians in other states who have reached out. They have been caring, & kind, & very generous in their offers to get us the help we need, if we need it.
This is real life here in Texas.
Denying my wife the care she needed. Sending her home on 3 different occasions to almost bleed out on our bathroom floor.
Texas Abortion Law did that.
My wife is strong. I am in awe of her strength as she recovers. I know she's going to be ok.
But, here we are, weeks later, and we STILL may have to leave the state to get the care she needs.
Ohio’s Attorney General, Dave Yost, is seeking a massive political power grab ahead of this year’s presidential election.
This new power would give the AG’s office near-sole authority to prosecute political cases in a partisan manner.
We cannot let this happen.
This is one of the greatest days of hope in this advocacy journey. Many pharmacists have said the same for years about PBMs. Will @WhiteHouse finally listen as someone with knowledge & a large platform speaks?
I hope others with a large platform will come forward.
