Human needs. Not special. Human needs. If someone needs assistance to use the washroom, that’s a human need. If someone needs to use technology to access learning, thats a human need. There is nothing “special” about “special education”, it’s simply education.

After we learn a new sound it becomes the “secret password” for entering the classroom, allowing for several extra daily repetitions. The kids ❤️ it - and don’t worry about the ones who forget; if they don’t copy the child in front of them I supply the sound for them to repeat.

Today @LHSCCanada we met the best resident doctor. What made them stand out was they spoke to my son,asked him the questions,gave him a voice.They built a relationship by discussing his interests.He was heard and able to advocate and have autonomy. So grateful and impressed. 💙
