@kasal_finley They made highlighter pipes, zippo pipes, lipstick pipes you name it 20 years ago. This is not a new concept of helping young people to hide the things they're inhaling.
@Elukeution@itsvarora@thechosenberg But she doesn't have to work as a blog writer. Obviously, it's not the dream for everyone, but if she can afford to take on an internship, she probably has the resources to explore different paths. Who is forcing her to stick with an unfulfilling job?
@The2ndKelly@BombCandice Iβd imagine itβs the part where a person with #addiction issues died young and left his baby boy to grow up without a father. π€·π»ββοΈ
@MaryDandrea42@Variety Ya, it is incredibly common for victims of real trauma to disassociate and smile awkwardly when speaking about what happened. When you feel vulnerable, the last thing most people want is to expose those vulnerabilities further by crying. That can go for any trauma Iβd say. π€·π»ββοΈ
@Ninjarale@harrislarryd @scottheidi576 I remember being told how you could never get into Uni without Math 30, excellent grades etc. One of my closest friends got her degree having never finished high school. If you want to get an education, you can find a way to make it happen. π
@heidi_paterson@ULethbridgeEdu Thanks so much! I am sure some internet searches will occur, it is an immersion classroom and I do not speak the language.
From the age of 12 I heard endless praises about my mom's favourite professor Dr. Robin Bright. I am so grateful that in these past 2 years, I had the chance to learn from such a fantastic teacher myself. Congratulations @drrobinbright, the U of L is so lucky to have you! π
Dr. Robin Bright, one of the leading voices in the study of teaching and literacy, has been appointed the University of Lethbridgeβs interim dean for the Faculty of Education https://t.co/nvnRnC8T95 #abed#lethbridge#yql
@MartinePelleri1@ULethbridgeEdu Thank you! No you don't see many of us out here. π A lot of my father's side live in Quebec. I have only been twice and it was 27 and 20ish years ago. My grandpa lived in Magog then.
A very important read. Thank you so much for sharing the stories of you and your family. π With all of the flaws in the new curriculum the most horrific is the erasure of our racist history. We must do better. #215children#KamloopsIndianResidentialSchool#AbLeg#CanadaGenocide
Please advocate and fight on behalf of children everywhere. Don't excuse people in the past for doing "what they thought was right". No one, in any time, can excuse what happened to kids, to families, to humans in this way.
@MsRShivji@ULethbridgeEdu Thanks friend! Iβll take any tips I can get. I must have practiced a hundred questions beforehand, I still get that zoom anxiety though and lose focus. π£ I just wanted to say, βI can assure you I am much less awkward in personβ.π #ZoomParalysis π³ #ItsAThing#MyCoinedExpression
