Took a little break from summer to present at region 10! Year 6 has truly been a year of growth and pushing myself outside my comfort zone. So thankful for this opportunity and to get to do it alongside my amazing friend and team teaching partner! @JennRThorpe
Had you told me 5 years ago I would get a master’s degree AND principal certification, I would have laughed. I am forever grateful to those educators who encouraged me, challenged me, and saw something in me that I didn’t. #proud
This week reminded me that learning never stops for our students or our staff. Watching our youngest scholars grow, explore, and achieve is the greatest reward! 🌟📚 @PISDCalhoun#CalhounConnects
I love watching students learn and grow at high levels while exploring measurement!! These friends are using a popsicle stick to find classroom items that are longer and shorter. #CalhounConnects#PlayisLearning#math@PISDCalhoun
Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door! 📚💫 Check out this amazing @PISDCalhoun student practicing her Heggerty phonological awareness skills while on vacation! We love seeing knowledge in action, even on the weekend! #CalhounConnects#HeggertyHero
Book Character Day at @PISDCalhoun was pure joy! 📚💫 Our students and staff brought stories to life with creativity, laughter, and smiles all around. Check out the fun in this video and see why Calhoun is the best place to learn and grow!

Students don’t need to be college ready in kindergarten.
They need to be kid ready — ready to play, explore, imagine, and connect.
Play is the gateway to adulthood, not a break from it.
It teaches focus, creativity, teamwork, and resilience — the real skills life demands.
