can’t stop thinking about that last deep breath alicent takes before staring up at her. like the true horror for her is seeing rhaenyra disfigured by the throne
how rhaenyra is trying to act cold but guilt is already weighing her down, how alicent cannot believe the girl she once knew could do this and yet can see right through rhaenyra, how rhaenyra's composure shifts under alicent's gaze because she is her judge
“with Phia, it's always so easy because I do, a lot of the time, feel like her mommy. And we're very, very close, so that nurturing or the want to nurture comes very naturally, and the want to protect. And even when Phia first started the show, it was only her second job so I did feel very protective over her and wanted her to be okay and that has sort of transferred into our relationship, which is also very nurturing back to me, so that's nice.”
Everyone is like "Oh my god Rhaenyra is gonna be so mad at Alicent" oh "Rhaenyra is gonna lock Alicent up for losing Aegon" while RHAENYRA is the one thats actually in the dog house
#hotd "Seeing the shift in Rhaenyra's face and whole body as she sees Alicent, this breaks something in her. From this scene onwards, Rhaenyra changes in a way that she doesn't really even completely understand at that moment."
“This to her looks like Otto was potentially Rhaenyra’s prisoner and this has been her first political act as ruler. She feels betrayed by [Rhaenyra]: ‘I’ve been a pawn. I’ve let you have King’s Landing and this is what you’ve done as your first order.’”
