This week I explored the tech tool https://t.co/G9nevo91zc! This tool allows students and teachers to create an online whiteboard with real-time feedback and assignments. This would be great to implement into a classroom to engage students in online learning! #EDUC331
@Bigler_Michelle A3: I used different text colors and sizes to make the important and โmain purposeโ words stand out. I will also make sure the colors in my ePortfolio contrast each and pop out!
@Bigler_Michelle A2: I think having a clear toolbar or the links to your pages at the top of the ePortfolio makes a website easier to navigate by creating clear expectations of what and where each page is.
@Bigler_Michelle A1: I think the visual design concept of consistency will enhance my ePortfolio the most. By keeping each page a similar layout, it is both visually pleasing and easy to navigate.
@MelissaRathmann Create engaging activities that the students are excited to participate in. Involve their interests and make it active (or better yet, don't assign it!) #CelebratEd
@MelissaRathmann I think homework can be beneficial when given in an engaging and exciting form. Just make sure it isn't too long, kids still need time to be kids! #CelebratEd
@MelissaRathmann Although a day late I wanted to join in on this important conversation. I am a pre-service teacher from Colorado and from a student perspective and a teacher perspective I am over homework! (at least the stress inducing conventional busy work kind) #CelebratEd
@TheMoth is a non-profit group dedicated to story telling! They offer teachers a wide range of story telling events and videos as well as access to monthly lesson plans based around new and exciting stories. #educ331#pstpln#ff
Mental health in early childhood education is not something that should be overlooked. Resources such as @CalmClassroom give teachers mindfulness tools to practice in their classrooms to better their student's emotional and mental well being! #educ331#pstpln#ff
Have you checked out @StoryCorps? It is an amazing tool for teachers to find multicultural stories to embed into their classroom curriculum. It also gives students the ability to share their own experiences in a unique and engaging way! #educ331#pstpln#ff
Hey #educ331 community! I recently found @WeAreTeachers and I recommend for you all to give them a follow! They support teachers by sharing articles & resources and creating a place for educators to openly share their experiences. #pstpln#FF
I would highly recommend for my fellow pre-service teachers to follow @CommonSenseEd! I have used them in the past when creating lesson plans and they have great digital tools for teachers working with ages K-12. #pstpln#educ331#FF
@sierra_grounds Hey Sierra! A tool that I have seen used that proves really impactful in the classroom is @Seesaw. It is a great way to engage students while also keeping parents updated on what is happening in their child's classroom.
@JaydeWith I just read over this article and I LOVE it! As someone going into the early childhood education field, I often feel that our job is looked over as easy or it is not as valued as I believe it should be. Thank you sharing something so important!
https://t.co/DDU7Cp68d6 This is a great article I found from edutopia on how strategies elementary teachers create can be used in classrooms of all ages! #pstln#educ331#ece
I chose to follow @ScholasticTeach, @CommonSenseEd, and @teacher2teacher. All of these organizations provide teachers with valuable resources or open places for communication! #pstpln#EDUC331
@MsElliott_Math I know as a student and as a teacher I love using Kahoot to review! This type of platform helps students actively engage and review the material.
@marisolgg24 One technology tool that I will implement into my future classroom is story corps! This is a platform where students are able to record themselves telling personal stories or interview others. I think this tool is a great way to connect to your students and build relationships.
My question for today is what technology tool that you have recently learned about/discovered are you most excited to implement into your classroom? #pstpln#educ331
