I intend to strike on Wednesday. I love my job and I want to look after my patients. The moral dilemma over whether to strike is pretty overwhelming, I have spent the last 3 days off anxious about the implication of striking and about going to work in terrible conditions 1/4
"If nurses aren't happy they can leave."
That's exactly the problem. 1 in 9 nurses left the NHS last year. Many go abroad or retrain in other fields. Only 21% of nurses say there are enough staff to do their job properly. Unsafe staffing levels harm us all. Pay them their worth.
Retweet if you think big media channels have a responsibility, when women are dying every three days from misogyny and male violence, not to legitimise and embolden abusive misogynistic views.
ITV should fire Jeremy Clarkson.
I think that how Harry and Meghan were treated tells us a lot about how power in Britain really operates. But the fairytale was always a sham: a monarchy is simply incompatible with the pursuit of equality.
Gorgeous day for a nurses’ strike outside Great Ormond St Hospital. So grateful for their unmatched care & skill. Now let’s get them the fucking pay rise they deserve & that the nation can *easily* afford. Austerity is a choice so change your mind or get in the bin!✊🏼❤️@theRCN
Sincere thread for people who aren’t sure about why nurses are striking:

Alliance for Choice are relieved to hear of the progress in service provision on abortion for the thousands who need treatment in NI every year. Finally we have some movement from the NIO, in the absence of any from the devolved institutions&the ongoing impasse in the Executive.

IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!
How has it almost been a year since we first opened in Central Station? In that time we, like every business on Leith Walk, has struggled with accessibility, discoverability & noise.
We’d like to take this opportunity to reintroduce ourselves!

Zara are launching ‘pre-owned’ a resale platform that also does repairs and donations. So all I hear is they’re making more money off clothes they already sold once.
