I became First Lady in 2019 in Wyoming. In October 2019, I launched the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, whose mission is to end childhood hunger in Wyoming.

Tonight I join Wyoming in mourning the passing of Leland Christensen, a kind and committed public servant and a good friend who represented the best of our state. I am grateful for his service in the Legislature and as state director for @SenLummis He will be deeply missed.
Wyoming Hunger Initiative infrastructure grants were awarded to 15 anti-hunger organizations across the state of Wyoming in 2021. We especially appreciate our partnership with @Cigna to match Governor Gordon's salary donation to make these grants possible!

The first donation of produce from the Governor’s Residence garden went to Needs Inc. Food Pantry on Friday here in Laramie County. Cheyenne Botanic Gardens is accepting donations every Saturday from 1-3pm so that it can be weighed and distributed across the county.
That is a wrap on Cheyenne Frontier Days™ but the memories of Wyoming Hunger Initiative day will be with us for quite some time. It was an honor to serve as the Grand Marshal on Saturday and partner with the largest outdoor rodeo in the world to stomp hunger!
