This is completely preventable and utterly pathetic. Throat cancer caused by HPV can be prevented by a vaccine. We have nearly a bullet-proof way to end HPV-related cancers and we are simply refusing to do it because conservatives continue with the delusions that vaccines are bad, complete adherence to abstinence and marital fidelity are achievable and reasonable public health goals, and women should be solely responsible for any negative consequences of sex.
