Christmas Party time! 🎄🎉 Yesterday P4/5 enjoyed some snacks and crackers in class. Then off to the hall; where we joined P5 for some dancing and party games. It was lovely to see the children all dressed up and having so much fun.

Happy Halloween 🎃 👻! Some of the children in P4/5 chose to dress up in Halloween costumes last Friday for dress up day. I thought I would save the post for today seen as it’s Halloween!! Some scary costumes this year!! @DrakiesPS

This week P4/5 enjoyed creating sunset pictures. They mixed colours to paint the background and used their cutting and sticking skills to add the trees, moon and buildings. They turned out quite well!! What do you think? @DrakiesPS

Ever wondered how Polar Bears stays warm? Well P3/4 found out today using ice water, gloves, elastic bands and a straw!! They had lots of fun experimenting to find the conclusion: Polar Bears fur is hollow and traps air which acts as an insulator against the cold! @DrakiesPS

World Book Day in P3/4! The children are looking amazing in all their book character costumes! They have had fun making bookmarks and taking part in a book quiz. They also watched Chris O’Dowd read them ‘Arnie the Donghnut’ by Laurie Keller; which they loved!

P3/4 had a visit from Vanessa from the SSPCA today. The children enjoyed finding out about the work they do. They then worked in groups to problem solve - what do we do when wild animals are in trouble? The session ended with an interesting Q&A session! @DrakiesPS
