We can go to Bible study and “amen” every point made, but if we don’t apply it to our lives, we won’t be changed.
Inspiration and information without personal application will never amount to transformation.
We all have a story.
And then we all have a story we tell ourselves.
I pray as we head into this new week for this truth to be your story.
You are loved.

Even if we can’t see it, let’s choose to believe it.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)
What is consuming your thoughts tonight, friend? Doubt? Fear? Bitterness? Anger?
Satan knows what consumes us controls us.
So let's hand all of those feelings over to Jesus & consume our thoughts with Him. He loves us. He's for us. And we can trust Him with all of our heart.
If we allow our thoughts to stink, that smell will leak out of every bit of us—our words, our actions, and especially our reactions.
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7 NLV
A good reminder for us to check what we’re allowing to run through our minds today.
Lord, I don’t want to miss out on all that is good & beautiful in my life because I’m too busy chasing perfection. Teach me to embrace imperfections. I want to laugh & enjoy the people in my life. I want to find the beauty You've tucked into each moment. Even the imperfect ones.
Psalm 84:1 declares, “How lovely is your dwelling, O LORD Almighty!” So we ask You to dwell in us richly, Lord.
We want You to be what radiates about us.
Not our hair.
Not our outfits.
Not our efforts of adornment.
Simply You.
Sincerity and simplicity... two keys to dismantling the spiritual frustration that can so easily come along with Bible study and prayer.
I'm so thankful God isn’t looking for us to impress Him. He's simply inviting us to spend open and honest time with Him.
We all have a choice with every situation. We can either bring the fullness of God with us or let our insecurities lead the way.
From His fullness we have received grace upon grace. May that be what fills up whatever place or space we are in today.
When painful thoughts are attacking, we can lay in the dark & replay the day's difficulties or we can turn the light on & read God's Word.
Let's open up His Word. Let it redirect our thoughts. Let God give us a fresh perspective. Let Him give us a hope beyond what we can see.
What is one area of true struggle in your life where improvement is needed? Instead of mentally beating yourself up, write out a call to action. Look up Scripture verses that deal with this issue. And know you were made for more than a cycle of defeat. You were made for victory!
