HPEB chair @daniela_beth is dedicated to making #health information widely available and easy to understand, particularly among older adults.
@USCResearch has recognized her for this work with a Breakthrough Leadership Award 🏅 ➡️ https://t.co/TzwnmpLsbq #WeArePublicHealth
This feels like either Google is purposefully trying to tank the platform or they are conducting a massive experiment on their users. (If the latter, I'm happy to offer a refresher on research methods and how to get an answer using their existing data) 👩🏫
As someone social/interpersonal influences on health behavior for a living, I am FASCINATED by @fitibit decision to get rid of challenges. I can think of ZERO theoretical reasons, or empirical evidence, to suggest this will be anything but detrimental to users🧵
What will be the public health impact of this? I see reports that they had 31 million active users as of 2020, and I'm sure it's higher now. What happens when an important source of motivation for physical activity gets removed for millions of people?🧵
@ironnieg@losttimemedia@thezeroblock So happy you were able to join us for the @SCETV event! It was an honor to meet you and hear more about your work first hand. My signed zine is already proudly displayed in my office!

Pretty much everything I do related to military sexual trauma...the oscillation between the excitement of results supporting your hypotheses and the rush of negative emotion at the meaning of those results can give you whiplash
Has your research data ever been so deeply upsetting that you find it hard to look at, hard to sit with? Asking for someone whose dissertation sample of queer women is comprised of 93% survivors of adulthood sexual violence, most with multiple victimizations.
I reflect on my job market experiences and share lessons learned as part of the "Finding Success in Failure" series, in the Fall 2022 edition of @apadivision50 SoAP Box.
Thanks for the invitation @ADiBello27 !
