@oliviakrauth Have you seen the new bill (SB 232) introduced by Westerfield that would remove the requirement that school libraries be staffed by a trained and certified librarian? Current law requires school librarians to have a master's degree in library science and a teaching certificate.

@AskAManager @amypoeppel I’m a librarian and I’m appalled! I would never discourage anyone from reading a book, even if disliked it. Because that’s a reflection of my reading tastes and has nothing to do with whether others would like it. We purchase books we have no interest in reading all the time!

@QueenOfRats Oh I’m not disagreeing with you! Just saying that because of the audiobook narration choice I never thought about it and am wondering if I would have had I read it in print.

@QueenOfRats So I listened to the audiobooks - which had a male narrator - and I never noticed anything that would have made me question that choice. Now wish I had read them in print, even though the audio narrator is deliciously snarky.
