Question for everyone.
What do you think of ability grouped PE classes? Not making groups of similar ability students within a mixed-ability class period. I mean creating a “high” or “advanced” class of skilled and competitive students and one that is a “low” or “leisure” level?
@TechAmazing@CErSE_US This is fantastic! Do you know of any online simulations for earthquakes to supplement 6th grade earth science curriculum. Have any suggestions?
@CarlSaganRox Hi Dave! Your volcano simulations were fantastic!!! One of them was even useful for earthquakes-do you have any other earthquake simulations? Thanks!
@CarlSaganRox looking for an online volcano/plate tectonics simulator for our 5th/6th grade science classrooms. There’s a good one through Phet, but it doesn’t work on Chromebooks. Any suggestions?
@brightmorningtm@CoachingPD We changed my title to Instructional Support… because that’s what I do. I provide support for teachers- whether that be through co-teaching, providing feedback, mentoring, going through data together, developing plans, meeting with students, or lending a shoulder to cry on!
Absolutely 100%! Seek out PD, invite other teachers to give you feedback, accept instructional coaches into your room, or reflect on your own teaching practices. Otherwise, you’re not modeling the growth mindset we want to see in our kids!
In a great classroom, the students aren’t the only learners. The TEACHER is a learner also. When teachers are curious, when they are vulnerable, when they continue to grow… they provide stronger instruction, and they provide a great example to their students.
Happy Sunday and 2nd day of SPRING! Here's a super fun problem to accompany your A.M. coffee. What's the best part? Finding the answer? Or being able to articulate clearly & concisely why every digit HAS to go where it goes? No guessing, just pure reasoning & logical thinking!
#tbt to yesterday’s shenanigans 🍀 (and learning, of course!) The children had a blast graphing lucky charms & their designs and creation process on @Flipgrid #WSScares#tinypanthers
