@TheRangeUK your drivers’ toilets at your Avonmouth distribution centre are a disgrace. No soap, never cleaned, reported yet ignored over weeks. Wiped my feet on leaving. Won’t touch a doorhandle in your building.
@HMRCcustomers I have finally had someone acknowledge at your call centre that something is very wrong and I have been told a full investigation will take place to find out who restricted my details and why, and why my tax code was changed to emergency rate. It shouldn’t have been this hard.
@HMRCcustomers Is there some chance of a response? I am being told all my tax and NI records after 2011 no longer exist. I am being taxed at ER as a result, and can get no straight answer from your call centre staff.
@HMRCcustomers Still on hold to your call centre, still trying to reach someone who knows what they are doing. Started at 08:45 this morning. I have spent my time on hold contacting my local MP about this as this is a complete farce.
@HMRCcustomers No and I don’t want one. I want to be taxed at the correct rate without being messed around and being left on permanent hold on a telephone line that treats taxpayers with contempt.
@HMRCcustomers I have only been working for one employer at a time. Having finally got an answer on your call centre line, I am now told my details are ‘restricted’ and they could not access them. Perhaps you could tell me why someone has restricted my file and why I shouldn’t be livid about it
@HMRCcustomers I was born in 1979. I have had the same NI number since I was 16. I have been in constant work since before 2011. Never had a problem before.
@HMRCcustomers All I can glean is my NI number I have had for nearly 30 years no longer exists. Please would someone have the courtesy to contact me and actually sort this out?
Because the one person who actually answered the phone told me my NI number wasn’t recognised. They then told me there was no record of me after 2011 and questioned my recollection of having existed and worked. They then claimed I had to apply for an NI number.
@HMRCcustomers I have been paying tax at Emergency rate for several weeks. The phone helplines are a waste of space either not answering (on hold for 45 minutes without answering is just rude) or are plain incompetent trying to tell me I don’t exist and haven’t since 2011.
