@zach_holtkamp@Econ_Sport_Prof The team has shown some progress in the right direction but raising prices and upsetting fans might not be the right move at this time.
Really enjoyed watching the movie Moneyball about how a small market team was about to build a team with a smaller salary available to them they may not have won a pennant but winning the division and making the playoffs is good.
Split jersey sponsorship deals: Will major US sports leagues cash in with corporate partners? https://t.co/kgGDpx0EPr #FoxBusiness@Econ_Sport_Prof and #UCCSportEcon
@Econ_Sport_Prof
and #UCCSportEcon the tweet talks about the deal with the company BarstoolSports that may seem strange but hopefully will prove to a great partnership.
@Econ_Sport_Prof
and #UCCSportEcon the fact that the commissioner is discussing why the stadium needs to be built shows support and maybe the team will leave if the stadium does not get built.

Politics should not get involved with the MLB and the minor league teams other than they don't like the economy growth and think this will help to raise the unemployment.

I can’t put a price tag on what baseball means to me, but MLB has. Eliminating 42 minor league teams, including 3 in Iowa, would cut 1000s of jobs & devastate local economies. The avg. MLB team is worth $1.8 billion—they can pay players a living wage. https://t.co/J3qUyJqfyi

Really enjoyed the article and I agree that it is up to the student athlete on where they want to attend college and it shouldn't be a state decision but a NCAA. @Econ_Sport_Prof#UCCSportEcon
I agree that hopefully this will help the team with the new stadium and their practice facility they did get in the league quickly and maybe the will prevail this year. @Econ_Sport_Prof#UCCSportEcon

Signing a free agent this early in the year shows that the lions are using their large cap space to make a difference on the field next year. This should increase the demand for the product the lions are offering, which is NFL football.

This is a great article and pretty accurate too. I know that i no longer use a camera with having my phone. I do believe that you still have a lot of people that use a camera i know my mom does. @Econ_Sport_Prof#UCCEcon
The rise of smartphones has caused a major shift in the camera industry. With smartphones now having super advanced camera quality, there is less demand for regular cameras. #UCCEcon@Econ_Sport_Prof
