Diverting precious dollars from our public education system and putting them toward private services won't give students the support they so urgently need.

Premier @fordnation and @Sflecce want to hand out $225 million to families instead of spending the money to support our public education system. Give our Premier a call at 416-325-1941 and ask him to invest in Ontario kids, education staff, and schools.

On #MandelaDay I'm reminded of the long struggles for social justice that are won by actions – both big and small. Let us always remember to "do what you can with what you have, where you are.” And together we can push for more inclusive learning and working spaces in #onted
This is completely unacceptable. Citizens should feel safe in their own city without the threat of violence. Children and educators are on their way to school this morning. What is @ottawacity@OttawaPolice@OttawaBylaw doing to keep them safe?
@OCETFO
Every time there is a lawful, respectful, educator union protest in Ontario the Premier has has been quick to attack and vilify educators in the media. Days before a protest, the day of, and days after. For the past three days….nothing!!
Let that sink in…
Friends, it's been a difficult 24 hours. Staff harassed for meals. A service user and security guard assaulted. Through it all, you have donated and filled our hearts with gratitude. Every cent will support people experiencing homelessness. Thank you. See our statement ⬇️
To the quiet convoy of health care heroes, PSWs, education workers, 1st-responders, retail and grocery store workers, transit workers, truck drivers and every Ontarian who is getting vaccinated and doing your part to protect our families, workplaces and communities...
Thank you.
@cmckenney I am so sorry for your constituents. One truck and flag.. maybe others.. yes, disturbing, but I want to let you know that There are hundreds and hundreds of people behind the scenes working hard for and praying for the peace of our city and your ward this weekend.
Ottawa Morning with Robyn Bresnahan - Jan. 4, 2022: President of OCETFO/FEEO Susan Gardner @SueGard94 and the Director of Education for the OCDSB on the delay to in-person learning https://t.co/tyhIie4mk2
@SueGard94@OCDSB @OCETFO Schools all across Ontario have already been planning thoughtful and virtual ways to celebrate their grads and all they have accomplished. Like no other cohort.
A better title would have been:
Ottawa School Boards take the mental health and physical safety of students and staff more seriously than the Ford Government.
Thank you to Director Williams-Taylor @OCDSB @OCETFO #etfo https://t.co/h9jDd59YfD
"We need ... truth and this tragedy brings that truth loud and clear,” said @Jordan_Carrier. “We can't reconcile until we address the truth."
A vigil will be held in Stoney Creek at 6 p.m. tonight. #HamOnt

My mom said last night. “When I was a little girl in school we heard that they were taking children from their families to send them to school. We knew the children and families were very sad.” Who was our prime minister? she said. Why would they let that happen?
