This was my favorite quote from Jacob Parker in the final postgame press conference of the season:
“I’ve already won in life, I have Jesus Christ in my life… I think that’s what’s special, that’s what this program is about.”
Regardless of the wins and losses, this is the most important thing I enjoy seeing from our players. You can say what you want, but when the accolades, trophies, and wins fade; who are you?
Your identity in Jesus Christ is the only thing that matters. Proud of the foundation being built.
Because you deserve nice things.

Duke women’s basketball HC Kara Lawson talks about adversity her team suffered starting the season 3-9, faced 6 ranked teams. Winners of 16 straight! People called for her job. I asked her about the heated discussions. “We don’t get to determine the length of our adversity”
“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest.” –Corrie Ten Boom
