@Mr_Rablin Thank you for sharing. I will be borrowing your idea. Break it down make it clearer. Sometimes they don’t see or understand the learning target…but others do.
When I got sick of being required to change the learning target and success criteria every day (because how does that make sense for kids in being able to see purpose and growth?), I started making posters of my learning progressions and putting them on my wall instead.
This is Bella. We adopted her after Lily died. she is our 3rd rescued dog. Excitable but so loving. Everyday she comes for hugs from all of us. Yesterday she jumped on the gate and opened it after this very strange man kept looking at my husband. She simply barked and came back.

@BrooklynSEA 10th year celebration, best teachers ever Ms. McGarrell & Ms.Guiteau thank you for your friendship and supporting our scholars. Best Math & Science teachers as well as NYC Junior Ambassador Educators!
Celebrating our 10th year anniversary @BrooklynSEA alums turned out. So wonderful to see how well our scholars are doing. They are nurses, welders, college graduates entering the job market! I am so proud of them. So much work went into building our community.
I went to St. John’s Uni ran into that same negative hatred. No one recruited me, No family ties.Hard work, SAT scores got me there & graduated. I keep hearing “affirmative action” when I entered a class. The misconception makes THEM feel better. Bc they know we are intelligent.
Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!
