I had an abortion in 2000.
I had spent 18 mo trying to get pregnant. I was so excited to be a mom!
Two months in, I was sitting in the living room and I felt a gush of blood. I called the Dr. He said to stay calm and wait and see.
Soon it wasn't just watery blood. It was clots the size of a sliver dollar, cramps that knocked me to my knees, blood everywhere, panic attacks and lightheadedness.
More ultra sounds and there was still a heartbeat. I wasn't ready to give in. But after two weeks I was so tired. My body was trying to support a pregnancy and at the same time support ME! This is what pro lifers don't get. We are hosts. And as the host goes, so does the fetus!
Finally my Dr. called it. You are my patient. Not the fetus. You will have other children if you do this now. If you don't, you could die. I had a D&C.
My 2 sons are happy, healthy successful men.
And I am still alive.
.@elonmusk - does being a free speech absolutist mean you will let accounts who send literal death threats to people continue to be on twitter? This is a persistent problem for myself and many other young activists.
@Liz_Cheney I really admire your conviction even though I differ in opinion sometimes. Thank you from a Republican in Utah and all the women trying to hold our Democracy together.
@radiowest I feel so Angry! It’s hard to even articulate. We have zero voice in Utah. We the people need to come out in full force and get these bastards out office! Congress can do something.
@sltrib This is so wrong! Isn’t this what communism is? Only one stream of information of what they want you to learn? This allows more racism, less sex education, less understanding for all mankind. Let’s usher in a whole new age of ignorance with our children. Not!
The issue is…In Utah we passed referendum for an independent Voting Commission to redraw our voting districts and it didn’t work. The Utah State Legislature decided to draw their own. @govenorspencercox @representus
