I don't think anyone's particularly concerned about mortality from the acute phase of the infection in this population.

We're concerned about the latent and long-term complications that are resulting in the death and disability of children.

Natural immunity is studied. As is compounding effects of repeated infections. Results aren't encouraging for us, as a population.

~600k Canadians missed 14,500,000 days of work due to Long Covid.

.... that doesn't feel very cost neutral.
