@patrick_kidd Extraordinary man and extremely nice. Unfortunately didn't help when reporting on home office bullying but being ethics advisor to Johnson must have been a difficult road to navigate.
@WhittallClive@RebetikoWalrus We there too. Oxford for Europe. Huge numbers of rational, decent people from all over the country - good natured but determined. Also totally ignored.
Your chancellor: โI managed to change the funding formulas to make sure that areas like this (Tunbridge Wells) get the funding they deserve cos we inherited a bunch of formulas from the Labour government that shoved all of the funding to deprived areas.โ https://t.co/fRdfJldh9L
@JDBakewell Voter fraud has not been a major issue in this country - I'm deeply suspicious of the motives behind this. It just seems a crude attempt to limit electorate as you say.
@cleanupbritain My experience of the A34 on Sunday. Trees looking like they were covered in blossom from a distance but actually festoons of fraying plastic. Really disgusting.
Sewage pumped into Oxfordshire stream for 95 hours in seven days - A timely reminder of the wanton destruction of our environment by the water companies, just as theyโre about to fleece us further still! Please retweet this! How I hate our government!

@andrewhesselden Proportional Representation has been shown to increase voter engagement โ unsurprisingly perhaps. After all, if the only votes that shift things are in marginals/byelections, why bother to vote to have it ignored?
@jojubs @MarieAnnUK I used the STH paternoster almost daily when I worked on the 8th floor, East Wing. Really convenient when hurrying back to the ward after lunch. And yes, making the round trip definitely part of the student nurse experience.
@MichaelLCrick What a space he leaves. A real giant of political science. I helped Sir David with admin for his legendary Nuffield seminars and other Oxford events. I remember his generosity of spirit, his kindness and lack of pomposity.
@BBCPolitics@ChrisMasonBBC "I'm sticking around because I was elected by 80,000 or so Conservative Party members, many of whom have already lost trust in me, to deliver for this country of nearly 68 million people"
@DavidHarpham77@LindsayHoyle_MP Utterly useless. No control. Hearing him shout โshut up, shut upโ at a Scottish MP, was toe curling. He lets government MPs to behave like over-sugared children, allowed Johnson to avoid questions by insulting Starmer and then censures Labour. I rate Betty Boothroyd the best.
