Years ago, after my dad went through a surgery, his incredible ICU nurse chatted him up while he was still groggy.
ICU nurse: “Do you know who I am?”
Dad: *furrows brow* “A person of interest.”
I think about this stone cold punchline delivery at least once every six months.

@jsstansel The part that always got me was when they couldn’t even keep their own website up to date, but wanted to create whole new avenues for communication.
@jsstansel Granted, I left the field when organic reach still existed on platforms like this one, but it was the “being on call” nature of the job for campus crises. Often my hands were tied in what I could say & when, which was frustrating but understandable. I don’t miss the stress.
