I'm very excited to share that I have successfully transitioned from Associate Registered Nutritionist (ANutr) to Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) in Public Health with @AfN_UK_ after demonstrating my competence within the field through a successful portfolio submission 🎉
Pleased to see @wesstreeting announce a new healthy food standard.
Nesta first set out this policy in 2024 and we are delighted to welcome it today.

📢 The Government urgently needs a plan to fix our broken food system 🛠️🍽️ and end the public health emergency 🚨 of unhealthy diets and obesity.
This is the key conclusion of our new report, out today. 📝

I'm leaving my current role at @WCRF for pastures new!
This means there's an exciting opportunity to join a small but mighty Policy & Public Affairs team to support the development of the organisations UK and International policy work.

Fantastic to have so many people come to hear @GwynneMP, @_SoniaKumar @ctmarshallceo, Anna Taylor @Food_Foundation, and @OonaghTurnbull on how we can raise the healthiest generation of children in our history at #Lab24. Follow to hear what they have to say #RecipeForChange
🚨 Big news! 🚨 Metro Mayors are exploring plans to restrict unhealthy food ads across their regions, following the success of similar policies in nearly 20 UK areas. 🍔❌ @UKSustain

Delighted to meet Health Prevention Minister Andrew @GwynneMP to share our @WCRF_UK Policy Priorities to prevent cancer and discuss how we can address modifiable risk factors.
Look forward to meeting again to keep the momentum around prevention going!
And we’re off again! This time to ‘sunny’ Liverpool (So much🌧️!) for @UKLabour conference.
It’s the 1st time @WCRF_UK has attended a party conference - looking forward to meeting those interested in cancer prevention & modifiable risk factors.
First stop @BiteBack2030 fringe!
Might be at the busiest fringe of @UKLabour party conference so far - spilling out far and beyond the @IPPR fringe hub!
Health, @wesstreeting & @HealthFdn seem to be the hot ticket of the day!
(So grateful for turning up 45mins early to get a seat!)
Big Food are at it again 🙄
Our latest report, launching TODAY, reveals how the biggest food & drink companies stack up on planetary health. 🌎
…And, surprise, surprise: it’s not good!
This should not exist 🤯 Influencers need to be held accountable when they have a far and wide reach to young followers. Just as the HFSS restrictions and energy drinks ban are announced they come up with something new to skirt around the problem 😤
We very much welcome today’s announcement.
For too long the food industry has consistently pushed back on these incoming restrictions on advertising unhealthy food on TV before 9pm, and online at any time, saying they need to have ‘more time to prepare’.
Not anymore!
Really disturbed to see this in @Tesco yesterday. These sugary / ultra processed products are not good choices for growing children’s school snacks or lunch boxes. Get with the times please Tesco! @OHA_updates@Food_Foundation
Today we have issued our open letter to the Prime Minister, giving our support for new policy reforms, allowing the planning system to better support the creation of healthy, active local communities and reduce health inequalities.

It's really encouraging to hear reference to advertising of less healthy food and drink to children and the sale of high caffeine energy drinks in the #KingsSpeech. These are essential policies to protect child health with enforcement long overdue
V welcome to see previous gov commitments on smoke free generation and restricting junk food advertising make it into the #KingsSpeech.
These are important but a whole gov focus will be needed to do the heavy lifting on prevention and inequals.

Newcastle council is calling time on junk food.
New restrictions prevent takeaways from opening within 400m of a school or where more than 10% of Year 6 pupils are obese.
Which is pretty much everywhere in Newcastle.
A big day for #HealthNation.
