@OnthankSchool Such an amazing day, consolidating the work of staff on their journey to better support our young people. Proud of the effort and pride in this.
⭐️Wednesday Problem Solvers⭐️
🖥️Lots of us are spending more time on phones, tablets and computers. This week we are thinking how we can be online but still stay safe! 🖥️
Can you use our tips and our template to make your own E-safety poster and share your top tips with us?
@OnthankSchool If you are using a small device or phone and have a smart TV, you can download an app called @AirScreenApp (free) to mirror your screen for a larger image. Hold your phone landscape for a full screen - document & email reading will be a little easier. @EacEducation
We would like to remind parents, carers & pupils that no recording of any lessons or staff is permitted during remote learning. Furthermore, staff have not given permission for anyone to forward a recording to another platform and we will take all necessary action if this arises.
We hope families are not feeling too anxious about the week ahead -
🔸Take one day at a time.
🔸See what works for you.
🔸Let your teacher know if you or your child are struggling.
🔸Contact your Parent Council

This might be of help to some of our families during the upcoming home learning. You can use your console to access Glow and Teams 👍🏻😊@OnthankSchool@EacEducation
With lockdowns in place across the UK, we might notice our feelings are changing a lot right now.
💛Remember its OK to feel comfortable or uncomfortable! It can help to take time to check in with your feelings. Why not take 5 minutes to check in with our Barnardo's resource?💙
The #Starlink satellites (over 40 of them!) will move from west to east over the next 20 minutes - If you can safely view them then the skies are largely clear🛰️
For those in the north of the UK, it may not be dark enough, however, there will be a second pass at 22:34 🛰️
Wishing all of our @OnthankSchool families a restful break and a Happy Easter. Thank you for the kind messages of support and well done to all of the children for their hard work this term (both in school and at home) 🐣
Teachers & home schoolers - if you’re looking for a fun learning activity, I’m here to help. I’m looking for little weather observers to make rain gauges for Friday. We’ll measure rainfall weekly & see how it varies across Scotland #SeansWeatherWorkshop https://t.co/eTCurOvAJg 🌧
During these difficult times, it is our most vulnerable families who will be hardest hit. Children 1st are determined to maintain direct emotional & practical support to families wherever it is safe to do so. And Parentline will always be there on the phone by webchat and online
Social stories are a really useful way of explaining difficult topics to children. This story may help to explain the issues surrounding Corona Virus. 👇🏼
