@BoilerNorth765@itsAntWright Gillis is an all time Purdue glue guy. If Gillis is on this team, they don’t check out for a month in the middle of the season which translates to the tournament. And he provided a spark every time he came in, something that we needed Saturday night.
In 17 NCAA tournaments under Matt Painter,
9 of the teams that have eliminated Purdue have advanced to the Final Four or better (now including Arizona)
6 of them have advanced to the title game
4 have won it all
@StockTalks21 That was the momentum swing. Refs aren’t out to get Purdue, they are just bad in general. A few bad calls at the beginning of the second half was all it took for Purdue to come unraveled which is a shame on the mental toughness of Purdue.
@BeneathThePaint Shoulda been playing Duke tonight, Arizona should have been #1 overall. We lost this game in February like you said but it wasn’t about the matchup, it was about setting the tone that we play a 20 minute game not a 40 min game and that showed up here.
@kraigbowers34 So does Purdue. But they spent January and February playing only 20 minutes of the game and they only played 20 minutes of the game here.
@PurdueBballGuy Woulda been cool to see TKR get to be a bigger part of this game. Had to sit most of it then came back in as frustrated Trey and that’s never a good thing. Bad game from Fletch but we aren’t here without him.
Whistles changed in the second half. Right or wrong, the whistle affected the second half of this game. Nothing takes Purdue out of their game like a few whistles that go against them.
