Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
NYSE: $APD
Cold energy has an industrial job here, and the project details are more interesting than the headline alone.
Air Products’ October 7 announcement reports a definitive agreement with a PETRONAS Gas-led joint venture for an LNG-based air-separation unit at Pengerang in Johor, Malaysia.
Air Products is responsible for designing, building and operating the facility. The planned output exceeds 600 tonnes per day of liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon, with startup expected in early 2027.
That is a project-capacity target, not current production. The LNG-related arrangement links industrial-gas supply with the regasification terminal’s infrastructure. The useful operating checkpoints are construction, commissioning and confirmation of startup. It is a concrete assignment with an identified location, product set and timetable, while the delivery work still lies ahead of the announced onstream date.

@Boldstocksbabe Watching Bitcoin Bancorp build out these practical pieces over time has been pretty neat, especially since getting the regulatory definitions right matters so much for the whole sector.
