To the Americans:
I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.
And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:
You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.
This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.
Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.
This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.
But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.
This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.
And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:
Thank God for the United States.
Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.
Long may your admirable country dominate the world.
Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.
May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.
Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
Thank God for the USA.
Happy 250th.

The happiness God promises certainly knows no limits.
When one has gained
such a blessing,
what is left to desire?
In seeing God
one possesses all things.
-St Gregory of Nyssa
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Christ Is King!
I did not see this coming, but my election has become an inflection point for our whole country. Today we make history.
Will you be part of this historic day by voting, calling friends who can vote, posting to social media, or making a donation?
Spread the word fellow patriots!
The Thomas Massie primary has opened my eyes to how many Republicans are dirty, emotional, and brainwashed just like Democrats.
I hate both parties!
I vehemently supported President Trump because I thought he wanted to destroy the Lindsey Grahams and Mitch McConnells, not the Thomas Massies and Rand Pauls!!
I wasn’t happy when Clinton, Obama or Biden won, but I didn’t call them fascist/dangerous/threat to democracy. I didn’t hope someone would assassinate them. I went on with my life with gratitude. Friends on the left, please try this. Your life and our country will be better.
Happy Feast of Saint Mark the Evangelist!
Mark, my son. (1 Peter 5:13)
Why are we reading from St. Peter's First Letter on St. Mark’s feast day?
Because according to ancient tradition, Mark spent time as a young man working with Peter in Rome. This was not long after Mark left Barnabas and Paul halfway through their first missionary journey—right after the trio had an encounter with a demon-possessed magician (Acts 13:8-13).
Perhaps Mark felt he couldn’t handle the rigors of life on the road—or perhaps the incident with the magician frightened him too much. Whatever the case, it must have been embarrassing for him to walk away like that!
But the Lord wasn’t done with Mark. During Peter’s own missionary journey, he met Mark and welcomed him as a companion and fellow evangelist. During their time together, Mark collected many of Peter’s recollections about his life with Jesus and eventually crafted them into the first Gospel.
After Peter’s martyrdom in Rome, Mark traveled through northern Africa preaching the gospel. He settled in Alexandria, Egypt, where he established the very first church in Africa. He then rejoined Barnabas for a missionary journey to Cyprus and then, after Barnabas’ death, returned to Alexandria to lead the thriving church. He spent his remaining years there until he was martyred in AD 68.
What a journey! Mark could have given up after his embarrassment with Paul and Barnabas. He could have returned home to Jerusalem and settled in with his mother and the believers who gathered in her home (Acts 12:12).
But the message of the gospel was too compelling; Mark had to keep sharing it. So he went from being a failed missionary to the adopted “son” of the first pope, to the author of the first Gospel, to the founder of Christianity in one of the greatest cities in the world.
Jesus didn’t give up on Mark, and he won’t give up on you. So don’t let your past mistakes define you. Keep trusting in the Lord and his perfect plan for your life.
“Jesus, thank you for being as faithful to me as you were to St. Mark!”

The statements made by President Trump on Truth Social regarding the Pope were entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. They don’t contribute at all to a constructive conversation. It is the Pope’s prerogative to articulate Catholic doctrine and the principles that govern the moral life. In regard to the concrete application of those principles, people of good will can and do disagree. I would warmly recommend that serious Catholics within the Trump administration–Secretary Rubio, Vice President Vance, Ambassador Brian Burch, and others–might meet with Vatican officials so that a real dialogue can take place. This is far preferable to the statements on social media.
I am very grateful for the many ways that the Trump administration has reached out to Catholics and other people of faith. It has been a high honor to serve on the Religious Liberty Commission. No President in my lifetime has shown a greater dedication to defending our first liberty. All that said, I think the President owes the Pope an apology.

GOA is issuing a warning to our members & the pistol brace industry about @theJusticeDept’s latest legal threat to gun owners.
We are gravely concerned that @ATFHQ might dare to treat any braced pistol as an illegal short-barreled rifle.

It is time for a convention of states. Congress will never term limit itself… and as you are seeing it is broken. Too many of these cats get up to DC and hop onto the uniparty train. The problem is the uniparty doesn’t work for you! It works for special interest.
