At this event we will show participants 18 demo plots of different small grains including wheat, barley, triticale, and Kernza. There will be plenty of time for questions and camaraderie.
Mesmerizing view of the our newest members of the family.

Props to Masha and the organizers for coming up with the karaoke night during the @NAPlantBreeders banquet! That was so fun! 🤟🤟🤟
I think we just unlocked a new NAPB tradition. 😉
Yep. That's Rex Bernardo and the rest of Filipino attendees during the conference. ❤
One thing I love about NAPB is how the topics presented are concentrated on plant breeding. Another is that I love meeting people in the plant breeding world, especially Filipinos! Here’s our Filipino representatives, from the young ones to the young at heart! 😁🌱
Attention students!
Submit abstracts for 15-minute oral presentations. 3 selected grad students will receive travel grants.
All grad and undergrad students are invited to join the poster competition.
Showcase your research, gain recognition, and network!

last field selection task of 2024: final selection of F3 single plants (space planted) that will generate F3:F4 lines. Not sure how effective this is, but it feels wrong not to try.
This one is giving me good vibes. #plantbreeding

This F3 wheat plant, direct-seeded from a single seed in the fall, produced 39 heads! Our current speed breeding protocol generates F3:F4 seeds from a parental cross in just 1 year and 8 months. #plantbreeding
