@clintwfischer Does he/she need the money? Thought if they put it in Escrow and just took interest earned they could avoid taxes, but not sure if that’s still the case.
@jarluh Lastly, I’ve never had someone tell me they regretted buying their first piece. It’s the hardest one to pay off, but once you do it gives you some solid footing to do what you want to do.
@jarluh That come with owning land that help cash flow. Would be worth the time to consult with your accountant if you’re serious to have a good idea what could be done. Lastly, rarely get a second chance at ground. Can always swap it if a better deal comes along down the road.
Screw Utah and ASU. See who we can peel off the ACC before the SEC does and MAYBE throw a bone to WSU and OSU. But only if we don’t get the ACC teams we want. Like those fan bases, but nabbing them before looking at the ACC teams is a commitment to being a DISTANT 3rd place conf
The B1G went from: “We don’t want to destroy a conference.” After nabbing USC and UCLA (their largest market).
To: “Fuck them kids.” Nabbing Oregon and Washington.
Can’t say I don’t respect the move, but they legit ransacked a conference after making an Alliance with them.
With the potential for some shakeups in the ACC, does it make more sense for the Big 12 to simply stop at 14 with Arizona?
Utah and Arizona State are okay, but the 2nd tier of the ACC without SEC/B1G landing spots are more attractive adds.
@VogelNC Not enough people know how to cook or serve it right, myself included. Don’t ordering it at a restaurant but I haven’t got the slightest clue how to cook it. Have had other tell me the texture of the grease throws them off too versus pork/beef
@Ryan90509722 Most operations I looked up to as a kid made their kids go to college and all the guys my age are glad they went. Depending on your situation, working in sales a couple of years is great too. Relationship management, exposure to business management, and appreciate work on farm.
@steveconaway1 Stay flexible for both. Pretty easy to find a buyer for ground you’ve bought that you want to trade for something else. Even easier to find a new renter on ground you don’t want to rent anymore to pursue something else. Land has appreciated faster than my stored cash has.
Looking for some help from #AgTwitter have 1,000 hd nursery and 2,000 hd finisher that won’t be filled with hogs more than likely. Any leads on things people have had success converting them to? Have heard secondhand about aquaculture but don’t know anyone personally. TIA
@Rehder41 I was really curious if anyone had done chickens especially for the litter aspect. I also wondered about turkeys but they may be too tall the way it’s set up now. Green house would probably only work in nursery. Our old finishers aren’t probably insulated enough to work.
🚩 Robert F Kennedy Jr & Dave Smith Discuss the Bombshell Findings From the Durham Report
RFK: "That report is appalling...You have...fifty top level CIA agents who agree to collaborate in a project to fix an election."
Dave Smith: "It's pretty clear that this was a frame job. And what you have here is the intelligence agencies framing the sitting President of the United States for treason."

@clintwfischer 2. Farm size, many were 1,500+ acres. A lot for a young person to chew off at once. How do you let someone carve out a part of their own/how can you ensure they can have a shot of farming the rest once farmer is gone that is still fair to their eventual heirs.
@clintwfischer The two biggest hurdles I saw when it was up
1. Finding enough farmers who want to pass it on to a young guy. Most guys that age I know don’t surf the web. How do you effectively reach the right people for the program.
