I couldn't be happier for two of my favorite NFL brethren, Greg Olsen and Syracuse legend Tim Green. Tim's son, Troy, played a significant role in this award. Tim has been a mentor to me and a pillar of courage in his fight with ALS. Character is rare, and courage is even rarer. Most people discover they possess neither, but Tim has consistently demonstrated both traits throughout his life. I am proud to call him and the Green family friends, and I am thrilled he was recognized with an Emmy. I've known Greg since his college days. He has always had a nonstop motor, positive infectious energy, and attitude, along with the intelligence, intellectual curiosity, and work ethic to perfect his craft, whether on the field or in the broadcast booth, where these positive traits shine. Again, I am proud to call Greg and the Olsen family friends, and I am pleased he was recognized with an Emmy for the great work he has put into his second career. Congratulations to you both, upward and onward!
