Christianity is NOT a rescue mission to evacuate a defeated Church from a dying world.
Christ the King is reigning NOW.
The nations are His inheritance.
The Church is His embassy.
The Lord’s Table is His covenant feast.
We are not waiting for a King to take His throne…
WE ARE CALLED TO LIVE AS THOUGH HE ALREADY HAS.
“He must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.”
1 Corinthians 15:25 ESV
The Kingdom is not retreating. The Kingdom is advancing.
SOLI DEO GLORIA.
@EricEchols Amen. That's the aim of Psalm 78: "that the next generation might know them… so that they should set their hope in God." A child who's been prayed for by name and has served beside an older saint learns the church isn't just a room. It has faces.
@RockWallBibles Agreed. Only 1 in 5 naming the Table is telling. The Supper isn't an empty memorial: "The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?" (1 Cor 10:16). Young believers need to hear that the King feeds His people there.
Godfrey of Bouillon, before beginning the attack on Jerusalem in 1099, prayed desperately for a sign from God to strengthen his resolve.
Taking up his bow for one single shot, he aimed his arrow at a bird in the sky flying next to the Tower of David.Godfrey released the arrow, leaving the fate of his conquest on what would happen next.
As the arrow made impact and then descended from the sky, it landed on the earth with 3 birds impaled upon it.
An incredible sign of divine providence and future triumph, Godfrey used it as the inspiration for the three alerions on the red diagonal band of his famous shield and the heraldic crest of the province of Lorraine.
This design features those three birds pierced by Godfrey's arrow, as well as the verse, "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord."
This is a good question and it depends. People like text blocks for different reasons but I generally recommend certain ones much more than others. Ive found these text blocks under $50 provide a really high quality finished product. (List below)
There is more than one way that publishers cut costs on a Bible and it’s not always using cheaper paper. And sometimes they use the same text block with a faux leather or hardcover that is good to rebind.

Past that, Cambridge produces many Bibles around $65-$100 that are very high quality text blocks with calf-split or faux leather covers.

From Day One of The Kingdom is Here:
"Christian hope is not optimism. Optimism says, I think things will probably work out. Christian hope says Christ is risen. Christ is reigning. Christ cannot fail."
However loud the headlines get, Jesus the Christ still reigns.
The Triune God is a two-generational God, Father and Son, perfectly harmonized by the Spirit.
The church is the people incorporated into this God, the children of the Father, body of the Son, temple of the Spirit.
Thus, the church resembles the multi-generationality of the Triune God, an assembly not of men and women, but of fathers and mothers, sons and daughters.

Israel's in distress because they've chosen (bachar) new gods (Judg 5:8) in place of the God who chose (bachar) them (Deut 7:6-7).
Idolatry v. true faith: Choose or be chosen; lay hold or be laid hold of (cf. Phil 3).
Here's a question I keep coming back to: if Jesus reigns over my Tuesday afternoon just as much as my Sunday morning, what would I do differently today? That question is the heart of The Kingdom is Here, seven short days for ordinary weeks.
