Where are the good apples? They get fired like Cariol Horne. The system is rooted in historical and systemic racism- it is rotten. https://t.co/FTmcPYEsJv
What type of person, leader, or elected official withholds statewide funding for more vaccines and COVID testing? Withholds already approved federal funds for the most needy students, schools and communities for over 60 days???
Shout out to @CityofDetroit, @MINationalGuard, police and all the health care workers at TCF- vaccination process continues to be seen less- I’m fully vaccinated and now my wife got her first shot!
As a @DPSCD employee I received my first round COVID-19 vaccination at TCF. Exceptional job by @CityofDetroit process was super-efficient, would have been better if I hadn’t worn a long sleeve shirt.
@CharlesMBlow 58% of white men and 55% of white women voted for Trump- THAT IS THE PROBLEM. After 4 years of stoking racial violence, eliminating social services, and caging children we still voted for the men. That’s the reckoning we must face!
@Alex_Flanagan@jemelehill@Alex_Flanagan - your wrong- the data proves that a majority of white people continued to vote for Trump. Which proves that racism just isn’t that important to us. It’s time we had some hard conversations with each other.
This is so personally devastating to me: the black male vote for Trump INCREASED from 13% in 2016 to 18% this year. The black female vote for Trump doubled from 4% in 2016 to 8% this year.
The election is too close, and I’m struggling to understand why. In 2016, I rationalized the loss as sexism, in 2020 even if Biden wins I don’t get why White Folks are so pro Trump.
Excited to share that for the first time that we can find in DPS/DPSCD history the school district received last year’s financial audit with ZERO exceptions and ZERO financial penalties.
🚨 Ballots are being tossed out in South Carolina 🚨
Thousands of ballots have been thrown out because of confusion around whether a witness signature was required.
Democrats and Republicans should be united on this. This is voter disenfranchisement.
A news article lede in 2020 that most people in didn't expect to read 4 years ago when DPS almost imploded:
"The Detroit Public Schools Community District is being released from state financial oversight after 11 years."
