@FreeTown30 Egress of 50k people anywhere is extremely difficult, but having a venue with access to 3 subway stations 10minutes walk away is extremely rare in North America. Hell in Buffalo I’ve sat for 2 hours post Game traffic just trying to leave from Ralph Wilson
The slow one here is the one that thinks that building a 50k seat indoor stadium wouldn’t cost at least a billion Canadian. Please stop embarrassing yourself…
@Jermainski@big_dog87 Are you slow? The solution is to build something that’s sustainable all year round and more importantly with a roof. Doubt that’s a billion dollars.
@damnthatschev@big_dog87 Your grand solution to inclement weather is getting Rogers and LiveNation to spend billions while we already have a number of venues?
@miisoenjoyer Fair. I’ve seen people complain that an entire new enclosed building should have been built instead of an open air venue which I think is a baseless complaint. That being said open air venues are fun to go to for concerts and having more than one in the city is a benefit
If you know what RJ and his fam have been through these last couple years it just makes the moment so much more special. So happy he’s here and doing it for the city
Darko Rajakovic on Scottie Barnes:
“Scottie right now, the way he’s playing, he’s at 60% of the player that he’s going to be in 2-3 years. Scottie is going to be one of the best players in the league.”
