@Canuck_Faithful The father/son relationship has a chance of getting awkward in the room, and once it does the room will become divided, and the Canucks know all about that. Why take that chance. Eventually the coach will most likely get fired, so will the son then want a trade.
@mikevule@massmutual So the Sharks are the new Oilers. Get greedy, pig out on offence and don't draft defence, and the hockey gods will punish them by never winning in the playoffs.
@sekeresandprice@mattsekeres@justBlakePrice@Hockey_Robinson@YellowDogBeer If McKenna and Stenberg are drafted 1/2 as expected. Draft the best RHD, Reid/Verhoeff?. Then immediately trade Hronek and/or Debrusk for a top 10-15 pick in this years draft. With that pick, draft the BPA, preferably a center.
@PuckPedia They need a bonafide No#1 defenceman to complete the team. You can't trade for them unless you give up a kings ransom (Hughes). The easiest solution is you draft one when you can, like this year. They most likely won't pick 2nd overall for awhile, so now's their chance.
@theprovince Boeser won the green jacket award, by a country mile, in the NHL last year with a -48. Don't think that type of work ethic, is who you want as an example leading the young guys.
@WatchMyReview Assuming you're not being sarcastic or are extremely naïve and self-centered, this is because you're smack in the Leafs market. Go live in Dallas, New York or LA and you'll hear how important those teams are to those markets. You are media in Toronto dammit, so what do you expect
@FriedgeHNIC NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has earned approximately $176M in salary over his tenure, with a current estimated annual compensation of around $9.6M. The Prime Minister of Canada earns an annual salary of $435,400.
@PiteCote@HOCKEY30_com If he's going anywhere, he's not going to another cold Canadian market with irate fans. It will be a warm city somewhere in the US with no state tax.
@sportsrage This is the residue of a losing sports market. The Canucks are one of the worst franchises in NA, maybe the world. This wears on the psyche, it trickles down through the media covering the team, to the fans who pay good money to watch disappointment. Can't even win a damn lottery
@NHL_Watcher Hronek, RHD, got 50 points playing for the Canucks, one of the leagues worst offences and half a year without Hughes. He could get 70 on SJ or the Hawks.
@provincesports The Canucks are in a rebuild, meaning they won't be good next year or for a few years. Why give up assets to move up just one spot, for a player who might drop to them anyways.
