She was eight years old she they told her, “This will make you a good and strong girl.”
She didn't understand what “good and strong” meant until she came in contact with pain and a mutilated
She didn't understand why everyone around her had decided what would happen to her body.
Years later, she still remembers. She looks at her body and gets traumatized at the pain she went through. This built resentment, psychological stress, and body hate.
A child should never have to earn acceptance through pain. Female genital mutilation causes a lot of harm with no good at all. Fight and resist the societal standards of FGM. It is a punishable offense by Law. End FGM
