Iâm Gen Z. I work 50 hours a week at my blue collar job and make right around 100k. My wife is able to stay at home and homeschool our kids which is incredible and I wouldnât trade it for the world, but I shouldnât have a budget this tight on 100k/year in America. I shouldnât have to drive a 20 year old truck with no A.C. on 100k/year in America. I shouldnât have to pick and choose which bills I pay on time on 100k/year in America.
Ignore this message at your own peril, GOP.
Not to change the subject from burritos but when I was earning poverty wages in my 20s I used to go to Subway nearly every day and get a footlong Italian sub for 5 dollars. It was generally the only big meal I would eat in a day.
If I was hungry later at night, I could always swing by McDonaldâs and grab a chicken sandwich for a dollar.
All of these people are screaming about âeating at homeâ but I basically never made meals at home in those days and I was able to get by. You used to be able to survive on low wages without making meals from scratch. If thatâs not possible anymore then itâs a sign that our standard of living is declining. Thatâs a problem. You should care about that.
Anyway, I went to a Subway recently and that same sandwich was 13 dollars. McDonaldâs, of course, doesnât sell anything for a dollar anymore.
@AllAboutTRH If they liked her, theyâd support her. I used to think when people said âtheyâre jealous of meâ it was an excuse for people not liking you. The longer I have lived, jealousy and envy are real and itâs an epidemic. Women are the worst.
I will listen to Boomers about self-reliance and hard work when they give young Americans the same help they give to illegal alien foreigners: $80,000 in direct free welfare per year. It's downright criminal treason to give $80k to illegal migrants... while lecturing young men.
I would like to commend President Trump for securing the southern border.
Itâs a shame that DOGE is still not in place. Because if it was, @elonmusk would ask the next obvious question to the DHS secretary and our border czar: now that the border is secure, why arenât our highest-trained, best-equipped federal immigration officers being redirected to the interior to conduct the mass deportations voters demanded?
Instead, theyâre staring at a secure border, their skills and resources sitting idle.
Elon would see this as pure government waste, talent and equipment not being used to their full potential.
The job isnât done at the border; itâs just beginning inside the country!
I spent hundreds if not thousands of hours at Taco Bell with my friends eating burritos and drinking baja blast when I was in high school. It always came to $5.18 exactly. Before I was 16 and employed, I used to literally count out change and stuff it all in my pocket. I just checked what it would cost now, and itâs like twice as expensive.
Not really afraid of being cornered by muh âerm, what are you, ENTITLED?â
Yeah, I am. I do actually feel entitled to the same standard of living that I once had, and that my parents and grandparents CERTAINLY had. And Iâm certainly not going to be gaslit by the same people who oversaw our decline into just accepting it.
Their spiritual leftism is evident. âREAL men make their own burritosâ just as âREAL men arenât scared of crackheads on the subway.â Give me a break.
I get that youâre MARRIED and a FATHER and thatâs really freaking based, and I hope you enjoy making budget burritos at home, but young people arenât going to accept that theyâre not allowed to enjoy their youth in the same ways they implicitly understand previous generations were able to.
There is an Alâs Toy Barn aisle of these Tough Love Conservative DadsTM who curiously only apply that animosity towards young white men. In the next breath, they praise the immigrants who leech off our country for âjust wanting a better life.â Even romanizing their âwork ethicâ because they keep seeing them in construction vests.
The CPI (Chipotle Price Index) does actually matter regardless of how youâd like to stomp your feet. Fortunately, Trump & Vance are aware of this fully, and in particular of how to actually address these concerns properly. But Neocons want to spoil it for one last chance to really stick it to the young people who hate them for failing to stop literally any of our problems. Enjoy it while you can I suppose.
War in Iran was never going to be popular, but mass deportations and the Save America Act would have been the "spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down." MAHA and others are looking around, and asking: What exactly did we get?
Food is expensive because working Americans have to buy it for ourselves and also for 50 million food stamp recipients and God knows how many USAID/MCC-fed third worlders abroad
We canât talk about the real reasons things are so expensive because 90% of Americans would have to admit how much damage they caused by being complete f**king idiots about Covid.
Watch this 60-second video.
It explains why Markwayne Mullinâs âworst of the worstâ approach is just expensive theater.
Thatâs like using a teaspoon to bail out a tidal wave.
Can someone explain to Secretary Mullin and real Tom Homan that full mass deportation is the only way to actually have a border?
Link below. Tell them to watch it!!!!  @tomilauren @BreannaMorello
@braxton_mccoy Got him a year ago, September. Slept with him in the spare room for a month until he got all night potty trained. Was like having a baby all over again.
Look, if theyâre so obsessed with optics right now, letâs give them some optics they can actually useâŚ
Embrace mass deportations. Do it loud, do it proud!
The moment that policy kicks in, youâll see waves of self deportations, people heading out before theyâre even asked.
Thatâs not cruelty, thatâs human nature.
And guess what? It pulls every camera away from this Iran war mess and puts the focus back on securing the border and protecting American workers.
Win win for optics and policy.
Steve Cortes has been saying this for years.
Maybe itâs finally time they actually listened instead of just cherry picking the parts that are convenient.
Everything that directly impacts your lifeâ affordability, safety, cultural stabilityâ all of it is downstream from immigration. The choice to vote for a Democrat Party committed to opening our borders to the world is a choice to commit civilizational suicide.
Petition opposing data center next to Nashville Zoo surpasses 580,000 signatures
The campaign against a proposed DC BLOX facility beside the Nashville Zoo has become one of the largest public petitions opposing a data center project
While I understand the White Houseâs concerns about what Mark Wayne Mullin keeps saying, the real fix isnât a muzzle. Heâs clearly getting bad advice from the border czar who doesnât believe in mass deportations, only targeted enforcementâŚ
Replace him with a border security professional who understands the threat and embraces true mass deportations!
I support a family of eight with no college education at all. You donât impress me. Iâm not talking about our economic problems because Iâm personally suffering financially. Iâm talking about it because a lot of people are suffering. I donât need to be personally hurt by something in order to care about it. If youâre a patriot, then you should want America to be a nation where normal people can afford to buy a house and feed their families. Regardless of your own personal financial situation.
I originally thought she was pathetically desperate for the approval of the same forces tormenting her. Now I'm thinking she's actually just one of them (she was a Kamala gal), and is more fearful of losing her conservative/midwestern audience by saying what she really thinks.
