Cannabis reform is only a cornerstone in creating a social environment that is fair and equal to people of all races. Once that happens, the root causes of youth use may be ameliorated. besides those who would medically require cannabis, youths should be waiting to 21 to use

Recognize that using cannabis, or any substance,is often rooted in trying to heal self. SO,instead of continuing systems of punitive justice for youths using cannabis,how about we create a social system that will help to address their underlying reasons for using and help them.

Penalties for underage cannabis use/possession is a step in the wrong direction. Perhaps recognizing that youth who are caught with cannabis typically have a reason for use. This may not be known to them, but just as adults, they may use it to manage mental and physical symptoms.
