When kids struggle with reading or math, we provide more support and practice. When they struggle with behavior, we often do the opposite. Imagine if we gave kids detention for poor ELA performance. Anyone think that would help? Me either.

You can’t praise what you don’t see. Be present with staff in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, bus line. And when present be fully present.

1. Relationships > everything.
2. Internet access should be a right.
3. F2F learning should be a right.
4. Compassion before curriculum.
5. Humans need connection.
