Derek asks for "the real Danielle Smith back."
There are friends of mine who have tried to warn the grassroots of this.
Our image of Danielle Smith Grassroots Warrior are a lie.
So what do we do now?
WATCH: Derek gives his unfiltered thoughts and comments on Danielle Smith’s answer to a reporter on the topic of equalization.
“Where is the real Danielle Smith?”
@Dfildebrandt
🚨 WATCH: Premier Danielle Smith comments on equalization.
5 years after 62% of Albertans voted to remove equalization from the constitution…
The premier is now defending the principle of equalization while suggesting technical changes to the formula.
"Do you agree the province of Alberta should cease to be part of Canada to become an independent state?"
Albertans recited this phrase over 301,000 times.
I know this phrase by heart and I, along with many others, will remember it forever. I recited it over 400 times.
In a 4 month window from Jan to April, approximately 5000 Albertans were out in the bitter cold collecting signatures from our fellow citizens who were advocating for change.
Over 301,000 signatures in an Albertan winter. Let's reflect on that for a moment.
Many of us would work all day, then do signature pop-ups after work, hoping to compel others to have the courage to express their democratic right. All those days, nights and weekends we could've just stayed at home but chose to submit ourselves to possible scrutiny, ridicule, insults or worse.
But it turns out, there weren't as many negative interactions as there were positive ones.
There were at least 301,000 positive ones to be exact. And that's just the ones who stopped to sign.
This doesn't include the countless honks, waves, thumbs up, smiles, and people stopping to shake my hand or honestly give me a hug right on the side of the road. I remember choking up when people would stop, get out of their car and shake my hand and/or bring in the hug to say thank you.
Think about that. Total strangers on the side of the road hugging each other and thanking each other for what we're doing. That hit me really hard in the feelers and still does.
Whatever the outcome, we are changing history. The world is watching. They could take away everything and I wouldn't change a thing. I would do it all over again. In an instant.
So for all those signatures, thank you's and hand shakes, bro hugs and big hugs, waves and smiles, honks and heartfelt positivity, it's my time to thank you.
Thank you to every Albertan. Every single one of you. #AlbertaIndependence
DEBATE CHALLENGE
Pierre Poilievre has appointed Parkland MP Dane Lloyd to lead the Conservative Party’s pro-Canadian-unity campaign ahead of Alberta’s referendum. That makes Mr. Lloyd the most appropriate person to publicly present and defend the Canadian-unity position.
I support Alberta independence and am the author of Oh, Canada — What Have You Done?, which examines Alberta’s relationship with Ottawa and the case for sovereignty.
Albertans deserve to hear these two competing visions tested through a respectful, fact-based public debate, with equal time and a neutral moderator.
No slogans. No personal attacks. Just the economic, constitutional and political facts.
Wanna debate the facts, Mr. Lloyd?

Yes, we can leave. Excuse the swears but I was extremely frustrated. The issue with AI is it only researches whatever is prevalent on the Internet. And what do you think are the top pages on the Internet? So be specific when asking AI questions. #AlbertaIndependence
@MisterDeeHyggz@Raven_Heroic@ronwardrop I'll see you in medicine hat one day Darryle Hyggen and we will decide who is the bigger chicken. Go ahead and ask anyone who's met me, see what they say about me. Maybe we'll meet at the A&W, I'll keep you posted, I'll be able to find you no problem. But anyway, here you go...
Paragraph 155 of the 1998 Supreme Court decision clearly indicates that if we achieve international recognition we can declare a unilateral declaration of independence. If you want to quote constitutional law then you will understand that Supreme Court decision decisions take precedence over Parliamentary acts (eg clarity act).
Your fear mongering and pointed questions toward Grok will not help in this instance.
See my frustrated conversation with Grok to sort through all the pedantic bullshit in order for the dumb AI machine to remove the bias created from the sources it collects from.
Anyone can ask pointed questions, you have to remove the bias and the minuscule details in order to get to the truth.
This will be my only interaction with you and there will be no further interaction. Your comments from Nova Scotia are no longer welcome Andreas (whichever account you're going to use).
I direct you to constitutional Lawyer Keith Wilson going forward. Have a nice day.
Live at 12 pm MDT!
No more games. Lukaszuk's campaign must be held to account. By the courts if need be.

Albertans will be able tp get out from under this... if we choose '2'.
Average Canadian family paying $21K for 'free' system, new report says | Toronto Sun https://t.co/p641R52w99
Yup, Max is not middle ground. Others are though. This is an event of learning from all angles. I do not agree with Forever Canada but I listen, learn and pivot as required. I get it dude, I totally get it, but others have an opinion and we need to ensure we allow it. Or we are no better than the other side.
Quebec has been extremely successful in negotiating with Ottawa - just look at the equalization structure! Any lessons we could learn from Quebec? They actually created a pathway for us to secede from Canada.
Max (@MaximeBernier) was a Quebec separatist and now advocates for Alberta Independence. He's not here for the PPC, he's here to talk about #AlbertaIndependence. How would you like to ask him questions and hear insightful (maybe even inside) information regarding the federal government?
The Holmes family (@HomeWithHolmes) is local to Alberta and extremely intelligent. They help spread the Independence message to the younger generation. I was lucky enough to have an in person conversation with each of them and the level of engagement they demonstrate was heartwarming. When was the last time someone under 25 looked you in the eyes when speaking with you?
Any questions you want to ask Max, Madison, MayCee or Mike? Get your tickets!
Hey, you can even meet Jason and Paula! @TheLavigneShow@JasonLavigneAB@TeamPAJ
@nightwatchxxx@MaximeBernier Do you think we could learn lessons from the failures of Quebec and/or Max? Thus "Lessons from Quebec"? Oh and I am a dude lol
@nightwatchxxx@MaximeBernier I will continue to utilize a neutral stance trying to reach more people who want change. Max is only here speaking about Independence, not pushing a party platform. He can provide insight to how Quebec has been so successful, similar to Benoit Trudeau's points.
You mean the where I was reaching out to women who are actually 50% of the population and posted the graphic indicating the polling suggested they are at 60% leaning toward the no side? The post I was asking they ensure to look at all angles of Independence and said I will take out the garbage and massage their feet? That one? The funny statement at the end upset you? Do you think I was actually going to massage and take out the garbage? Do you also think I eat pineapple pizza in shame? Or at all?
If we are going to get pedantic, lets explore your stance then. Do you agree that everyone should have a vote in Alberta regardless of where they originated from? Would you agree that Independence transcends ones personal feelings toward someone, something, race or gender? Do you think the our only goal is to achieve a yes vote in this non binding question Oct 19 or something else? Do you think we have enough support for a binding referendum in Oct or would it be better for a non binding one to reach the middle ground?
There are many questions we have to ask ourselves to ensure we are advocating for the same end goal. The only end goal is independence, regardless of your personal feelings.
I advocate for Independence.
