@tl_zakariae @MelikeEcin @amjadt25 Bravery and foreign support aren’t mutually exclusive. The FLN fought hard, but Egyptian funding, Tunisian sanctuaries, foreign arms and diplomatic backing were all critical. Pretending Algeria succeeded with “tote bags” alone is just romanticizing history.

@tl_zakariae @MelikeEcin @amjadt25 Ironic u claim Israel depends entirely on US, when Algeria wouldn't exist w/o Egypt, ext coalition, FLN fighters ran out of ammo & were choked. W/o EG funds, TUN borders, YUG arms FLN would've lost. Algeria owes its existence to foreign backing first.

@MelikeEcin @amjadt25 To me, it sounds like someone from the Middle East, maybe a Gulf country, who understands how bad the deal is. Why the obsession with Israel?
