The instinct when moving into D2C is to start with channels. Paid, social, etc.
But if the positioning hasn't shifted for the new buyer, you're testing distribution before you've tested resonance.
Sequence that tends to work: positioning → activation → retention → channels.
Most "AI SEO" advice focuses on phrasing and keywords.
The research points somewhere else: structural clarity, comparative authority, information gain.

Had my first mentoring sessions with students from @tetrcollege via Mentor Union!
Impressed by how practical their model is - students build real businesses while studying!
Conversations like this are so energising.
If you’rethinking about mentoring, it’s worth it.
I joined the Self-Leadership Podcast with @AnnaTsyupko and Josh Winterson to talk about self-leadership as daily habits.
3 that have helped me:
• 3 real priorities each morning
• 2 minutes of breathing before big decisions
• 1 lesson + 1 gratitude at the end of the day
I was a guest on the Self Leadership Podcast - grateful to Anna Tsyupko and Josh Winterson for the conversation.
We talked about self-leadership as a practice, not a concept:
– 3 daily priorities that actually move the business
– weekly reflection loops
– and so much more!

Most early-stage founders don’t have a traffic problem.
They have a clarity problem.
If you haven’t nailed:
– who it’s for
– what problem you solve
– what decision you’re unlocking
More traffic just amplifies the noise.
Working on GEO / AI SEO?
Tools don’t have access to real AI prompt logs. LLMs don’t share that data.
So “AI prompts” are inferred from what is observable: SERPs, structure, retrieval behaviour, model outputs.

The ranking isn’t the win.
The signal was user behaviour: • people coming back • teams changing how they work
That’s where real value shows up.
Still early. Still learning.
Genuinely curious:
which of these terms are you actually using today - and which ones do you think will stick?

I’ve been having the same conversation with marketers and founders a lot recently.
SEO. AI SEO. GEO. AEO. LLM search.
Everyone’s using different words, and half the time, we’re talking about the same shift.
This isn’t a new framework or a hot take.
It’s just an attempt to put clearer language around what’s already happening - and what marketers and founders should probably focus on next.
Looking forward to speaking at the Ladies Who Tech Launch this Friday. I’ll be sharing how marketers can embed fact verification and transparency into their AI workflows.
If you’re attending, come say hi 👋
Do you have a gig/sharing economy platform? Or perhaps just an idea for one? In this animation we show how the #sharingeconomy is being held back by #payments, and what you can do to get ahead of the game.
