There’s absolutely nothing more pleasing than watching yourself do the things you said you’d do. I really value honoring the promises I’ve made to myself.
pick a degree you don’t want to cheat. choose a city you don't want to flee. work a job you don’t want to quit. marry a person you don’t want to change. live a life you don’t want to escape.
Elijah literally told God he was exhausted, overwhelmed, and ready to give up, and instead of punishment or disappointment, God responded with rest, food, and care
so pretending to be okay when you are not doesn’t impress Him, it just distances you from the intimacy that comes with truth. God is not asking for perfection, He is asking for honesty.
Your entire life can really change in a year. You just gotta love yourself enough to know you deserve more, be brave enough to demand more, and be disciplined enough to actually work for more. You can do it. You got this.
“Nobody wants to work anymore.”
No, people are just tired of:
• giving their whole life to a company that sees them as replaceable
• working overtime like it’s a personality trait
• getting “we appreciate you” instead of a raise
• sacrificing weekends just to survive Monday
• being loyal and still getting laid off in a random email
People don’t hate work.
They hate being exploited.
I'm really starting to feel like we're living in a psychological experiment designed to study how far a dystopian society can be pushed before the working class begins reacting violently.
@Theholisticpsyc The saddest part is some people have been emotionally tired for so long that peace feels unfamiliar and guilt feels more normal than rest.
God is very intentional. Nothing about your life is random. Not the delays, not the detours, not even the waiting. He knows exactly what He's doing. Please learn to trust him more this year.
Do not talk about discernment if you cannot recognise when someone needs compassion more than criticism and correction. There is a time to guide and a time to simply hold space for a person who is hurting. Wisdom knows the difference. And kindness knows it even faster.
When the time is right, God will align everything in a way that moves you to tears
and blesses your entire life. You will finally understand why you had to go through all the ups and downs, face challenge after challenge, and wait so many years. You had to get to a place where you could be one with God and
feel whole without any external validation or substance.
I just walked out of church after great service , and I can’t shake this feeling… we’re wasting way too much of the little time we’ve been given. Not because we’re lazy, but because we’re distracted by things that don’t matter. We stress over money, opinions, validation, social media… we hold onto resentment, bitterness, anger, things people said years ago, and none of it serves any purpose in God’s kingdom. None of it is coming with you when this life is over.
