It is with heavy hearts that we announce Sir Ken Robinson died peacefully yesterday, 21st August 2020, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
We will be following up with a further update as we begin to follow Sir Ken’s wishes and honour his legacy.
As many have observed, one effect of the #covid19 crisis is to exacerbate existing problems, such as meeting mania.
Another existing problem that's been exacerbated is prioritizing "doing stuff" over doing what's important/more likely to be effective.

@MitchPalmerLtd This is going to be an interesting one. Although, I do wonder how much that percentage will shift once we feel safer to travel into work/be around our colleagues...
@sammiesamseal @ProfAndrewScott@CIPD Hey - hope you find the sessions interesting over the next few days. I'd love a cliff notes catch up at some point ;)

I'm proud to be a Next Steps Mentor for the Princes Trust, and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from the inspirational young people I meet through the programme #VolunteersWeek#mentoring
We are kicking off #VolunteersWeek by saying a huge 'thank you' to all of our amazing volunteers. We couldn’t be there for young people without you😀 >
Ive come back to this, this morning as I make breakfast. 28 minutes of Dr Keon West on Radio 4 on why Unconscious Bias training kind of doesn't work https://t.co/AKr7IOfh7E is actually a really powerful programme, if we are having organisational conversations.
@fuchsia_blue Thanks for sharing! I've listened and continue to be skeptical of UB training as the magic pill. It's best as part of a wider programme around inclusion to change behaviour, including identifying where bias can occur in people processes and changing/interrupting those at source.
George Floyd and I were both arrested for allegedly spending a counterfeit $20 bill. For George Floyd, a man my age, with two kids, it was a death sentence. For me, it is a story I sometimes tell at parties. That, my friends, is White privilege.
George Bernard Shaw defined #coaching beautifully when he wrote “The only service a friend can really render is to keep your courage by holding up to you a mirror in which you can see a noble image of yourself.” #MondayMotivation#mondaythoughts#MentalHealthMatters
@CIPD@jonnygiff I think we're asking a lot of our employees at the moment, and organisations are responding by offering learning and tips on how to stay productive. Re-setting expectations, prioritising what work is critical right now and what can be paused, would make more of a difference.
