There are certain ways in which healthcare workers act and talk that I can just say whatever to. But, not when they take pictures of patient bodies and show these pics to their friends during outings, so basically for entertainment and not teaching or education purposes.

Social media influencing is ruining healthcare. Because thinking that sharing private images of patients and their bodies for entertainment over brunch is okay or funny is very disturbing. And the resident doctor agreed with this behavior.

Getting a degree in public health is fun until you can’t get a job for one of your degree requirements because the job market for public health is awful right now. I’ve shortened/revised my resume and cover letter. I’ve reached out to contacts in job postings. Nothing but 🦗

Also, I swear everyone in public health is on vacation right now because nobody is responding to their emails. I get that it’s summer but there’s no way this many people in public health feel comfortable going on long vacations right now.

I know several people in public health that have already been laid off or at risk of being laid off from their job. And I know a couple people that are looking to change job positions but they can’t find or get anything right now.

Whelp, my sleeping schedule is back to being crazy again. The “normalcy” only lasted for about 2 weeks (I think) this time. It’s almost 5am and I’m still up. 🤡🤦🏼‍♀️

Just because your surgery was done minimally invasive with small incisions does NOT mean it wasn’t MAJOR! We still do the same surgery just without the big incision. You still are under anesthesia for hours and that residual gas pain alone can knock someone out. 😭
